FARMING

Farming has no crafting station and no level: you grow crops on farming plots in your own house with seed bags. It grows the vegetables, fruit and grain that Cooking needs.

How to start planting

Get a house. Farming plots can only be laid out inside a house you own or rent.
Buy farming plots in the in-game Store (Store → Farming & Cooking). They're cheap — one plot holds one plant, so buy a few: 1 plot for 3 coins, 5 for 12, 10 for 20.
Lay them out: put a package on the floor of your house and use it. It turns into a patch of dirt.
Buy seed bags from Fennimore, the seed merchant in Thais, on the street just south of Frodo's inn. Say "seeds" to see what he sells.
Plant: use a seed bag on a dirt patch. A dirt pile appears, and after about 1h the seed sprouts.
Let it grow. It grows on its own through a few stages — no watering or tending needed.
Harvest: use the fully grown plant. You get a random amount of its produce, within the range below. The dirt stays, so you can plant again right away.
